This week we join the Hillmanns at Rockaway, Lake George and Brooklyn

We're in Lake George. In 1923 the Klu Klux Klan burned the town of Rosewood, Florida


At the start of the year it was 7,000 german marks to the dollar inflation took it to 4.2 trillion marks to the dollar, by the end of the year the currency was abolished

In 1923 the Hillmanns enjoyed a motor boat race at Lake George. In Munich, Adolf Hitler led the Nazis in an unsuccessful attempt to overthrow the Bavarian government; police and troops crushed the attempt the next day 


In 1923 the worlds first domestic refrigerator was sold in Sweden. That's kind of interestingt, isn't it? Sweden is a cold nation. I guess they missed it in the Summer and wanted the cold storage in their homes.
