Beginning in 1923, and for at least 20 years thereafter, probably longer, my great-great grandfather, Edwin Eggert and his second wife, Billie, owned a resort on Big Spider Lake in Wisconsin. In this blog I have published pictures from Billie's albums.
Now, despite some feedback that this place of cabins in no way resembles a resort, in its time and place, it was a resort. It particularly welcomed people from Chicago for a break by the lake in the summer. These are pictures of resort guests.
